Dear Church Family, This Sunday is the annual meeting of the Falls Village congregation. We’ll grab some refreshments and then meet in Miner Hall. Congregation meetings are a time to reflect on the accomplishments of the past year. I hope you’ll take time to read the reports, which chronicle the rich activity of our small, but involved congregation. We’ll review the financial figures for the past year and set the budget for 2025. We’ll have an opportunity to raise questions and share our hopes for the future. Friends of the congregation are encouraged to take part in the meeting, although, of course, only members can vote. I know for some church meetings have all the excitement of watching paint dry, but it is a chance to celebrate our life together and the blessings God has provided. Worship this Sunday will be based on the texts Isaiah 62:1-5 and Luke 4:16-24. The sermon is titled “The Least, the Lost, the Last. We’ll sing two of my favorite hymns “All Things Bright and Beautiful” and the spirited “We are Walking.,” Enjoy this week’s classic New England weather, and stay warm. Morning temperatures at our house have dipped below 0 degrees several times! Even our dog “Happy” doesn’t want to stay out long..
