Dear Church Family, It’s April already—and I’m not fooling! Has anyone tricked you on this April Fool’s Day? Spring has sprung and the daffodils at church are already blooming. Ours at the house are a little slower in coming. We’ll be flying to Florida on Thursday to spend five days with Josh and his family. It will be fun to see the girls and discover how much they have grown in five months. We’ll enjoy the warm weather and time in their pool.. Betsey Mauro will be leading worship in my absence. She enjoys being with us and I know you enjoy seeing her as well. You’ll be receiving in the bulletin this week information about the One Great Hour of Sharing Offering, which is received during Lent each year. This is the longest standing of all the ecumenical offerings. It goes to support hunger relief, water purification, and refugee care in numerous trouble spots in the world. This year there is a special emphasis on relief needs in Gaza. In a time of governmental cutbacks on humanitarian aid, there is a special need for the support of churches. The offering will be received on April 13 and 20. Have a good service this week and see you in church on Palm Sunday, April 13. Rich
