Dear Church family, I hope you had a most blessed holy week and joyous Easter celebration. We had a wonderful day at Falls Village church. Twenty-five hardy souls got up before dawn and climbed the hill for the sunrise service. Thirty enjoyed the breakfast prepared by Donna and Frank. Forty-one attended the 10 a.m. service, joined by several of our regulars through livestream. The choir was in especially good form as they sang of the resurrection. Thanks to the Deacons, who oversee worship, and many others, for making this last week memorable. Another great tradition of FVCC is hosting the American Field Service students attending Housatonic Regional HS for pizza dinner and a presentation. This will take place at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 24. There are only two students this year, from Columbia and Italy. It is always interesting hearing their take on their home countries and their experience of the United States. AFS has been a long-standing way of building bridges, and in a time when international relations are in such upheaval, increasingly important. Let Kay Blass know you are coming if you haven’t already signed up. Hope to see you there. Worship for the 2nd Sunday of Easter is based on Acts 5:32-37 and 2 Corinthians 1: 15-22. The sermon is “Always Yes.” See you in church Rich
